Double sponsorship deal helps Exeter netball ladies get dressed for success

Exeter Cyclones netball team has scored a double sponsorship deal to help kit players out with new match dresses.

The team started looking for new sponsors at the beginning of the 2022/23 season, after being promoted to Division 3 of the Exeter & District Netball League last year.

When two Exeter-based businesses, our PR agency KOR Communications and Cooksleys Estate Agents, agreed to jointly sponsor the team, players decided it was a good opportunity to update their kit.

It was Cyclones Captain Lara Newman and Vice-Captain Jaz Crispin-Vile who came up with the idea of approaching the two companies, as they have a connection to both.

Lara is one of our Account Managers at KOR, while Jaz works at Cookleys in South Street, as their Office Manager.

Lara said:

Jaz and I decided who better to ask than the two businesses we are connected to, and we were so pleased when they agreed,

Getting new match dresses seemed like the perfect way to celebrate our promotion and fortunately, our new sponsors were happy to oblige.

The Cyclones team turned out in the new kit for the first time recently against Fusion, coming away as the winners of the game which ended 34-29.

Jaz, who plays Wing Attack said:

Let’s hope it’s a lucky kit and continues to bring us good fortune for the rest of the season.

Our Commercial Director, Guy Newman said he was happy to help with sponsorship.

Lara has been playing for Cyclones for seven years and the team have trained hard to achieve this promotion, so we wanted to support them.”

Duncan Medlock, Director at Cooksleys, said:

Jaz is a valued member of our team so we thought it would be a nice gesture to help her other teammates at Exeter Cyclones. We all hope the ladies do really well this season too.
