Summary

We have an opportunity for a motivated Project Manager Apprentice to join our busy team at KOR, a specialist PR and public affairs consultancy based in the Exeter.

In this role, you will work with an experienced team across a number of clients in the land, property and rural business to support the team deliver communications strategies, public consultations, and stakeholder engagement for a range of projects.

It is an exciting time to join KOR, as we support our growing list of clients – including some of the country’s largest landed estates – embark on residential, commercial or large-scale renewable energy projects across the UK. It is therefore important that the candidate has an interest in the rural sector, built environment, renewable energy, planning and politics.

 

The Role

  • Work as part of a small team to plan and execute communications strategies and stakeholder engagement for client projects.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships - internally and externally. 

  • Assist in drafting reports, briefings and other project collateral as required.

  • Assist the team in managing project timelines and deliverables to keep projects on track.

  • Conduct research to compile briefings and databases for projects.

  • Lead on internal project planning and associated administrative tasks.

  • Track engagement activities and record interactions and feedback.

  • Monitor local, regional and national media coverage, as well as political matters and industry news.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across KOR.

 

Your skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A confident communicator on the telephone, email and in-person. 

  • Good research skills with an eye for detail.

  • Strong organisation and time management - capable of prioritising multiple competing tasks and working to deadlines.

  • A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. 

  • Interest in politics and current affairs.

  • Driving license and access to your own vehicle.

Vacancy details

·       Working pattern - 37.5hrs per week - Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm (1hr break for lunch)

·       Salary – £20,000 - £23,000 per annum

·       Number of positions available: one

·       Qualifications required: Maths and English GCSE, grade C/4 (or equivalent).

·       Apprenticeship Standard – Level 4

·       Closing date - 5.30pm on Friday 30th May 2025

·       Interview Date – TBC

·       Interview process – initial virtual call, followed by in person interview and/or a day’s work experience

·       Start date: As soon as possible
