Bradfords opens plumbing and heating branch in new building at Liverton Business Park

Ten years after becoming the first business to move into Clinton Devon Estates’ Liverton 2 Business Park, Bradfords Building Supplies has opened its first purpose-built plumbing and heating branch in the newly constructed Hayes Units.

Head of Commercial and Energy at Clinton Devon Estates, Will Dale said:

The Hayes Units provide high quality flexible employment space which is in short supply in Exmouth.  We are delighted to support Bradfords as the business continues to expand, and we wish the team every success with the new venture.

Construction commenced in May 2022, on a prominent site opposite Bradfords main depot, and was completed by Devon Contractors in September.

Nick England, Construction Director said:

We have carried out numerous projects with Clinton Devon Estates and continue to maintain a working relationship which has lasted for over 25 years. Working with them from a very early stage in a project enables us and our architects to bring the initial concept through to a successful completion.

The new building, measuring 3,000 square feet, has been let to Bradfords Building Supplies by Exeter-based letting agent Stratton Creber Commercial.

Consultant Andrew Hosking said:

We’ve been involved from the outset of the second phase at Liverton Business Park. It was good to hear that Bradfords were looking for a separate facility for their plumbing and heating supplies and it’s great for us to be able to cater for that demand, because there is a low supply across Exmouth and East Devon.

Bradfords Plumbing and Heating will be open Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm. Trading Director Luke Smith, said;

This is our first purpose-built, standalone plumbing and heating branch and we hope it will be the first of many. We are open to the trade and public, we’ve got a bathroom showroom here and a team of four with really strong knowledge of our products covering plumbing, heating, bathrooms and renewables.

Liverton Business Park has developed since the 1990s and is now home to a mix of thriving national, regional and local businesses. Development of the Hayes Units follows the success of Harpford Phase 2, a five-unit scheme, completed in January 2022, which is now fully let to local businesses.
