Account Director | up to 50k DOE

Summary

Due to a growing client portfolio, KOR are seeking an Account Director to join our Exeter-based team. KOR specialises in land, property and rural affairs and we’re looking for someone who is keen to work in our specialist sector.

Your knowledge

You’ll have a keen interest in the built environment and a good understanding of local government and politics and will be able to apply your expertise in planning policy to counsel clients. You will also have a good understanding of the news agenda and how it may impact client projects.

Agency experience is preferred, and you will have a natural ability to look after multiple clients and projects, not only with a smile but with an eye on the bottom line too.

We would also be keen to hear from people who work in other areas of our specialist sector, for example lawyers, land agents or journalists, who would like to diversify their specialist skills and knowledge.

The Role

In this senior role, you will be the client’s trusted point of contact, advising on how to manage their organisation’s reputation around renewable energy projects and other sustainable residential and commercial development – from pre-planning stage to delivery.

If you see yourself as an ambitious and dynamic leader, who can grow KOR’s reputation and business nationwide, then this is a career-defining role with the opportunity to be an integral part of our exciting future. The company is in the process of transitioning from a Limited Company to an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT), a model which rewards employees directly for the company’s increased productivity and growth.

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Lead with creativity, initiative, and interpersonal skills.

  • Have strong verbal, presentation, and written skills.

  • Negotiate effectively, and clearly communicate complex information.

  • Keep abreast of national and regional issues relevant to current and prospective clients.

  • Manage your own time, and that of your team, to deliver work on time and profitably.

  • Nurture and expand our portfolio of satisfied clients.

  • Proactively drive new business through building key relationships.

Company benefits include:

  • Being part of a very experienced and friendly team and working with inspirational clients.

  • In house training and career mentoring.

  • External training or qualification opportunities.

  • Opportunity to work flexibly when required.

  • 33 days holiday including your birthday and bank holidays

  • Regular team events and social activities.

  • Life cover of £100,000.

  • Health cash plan.

  • Employment Assistance scheme.

  • Auto enrolment into KOR Pension Scheme.

  • Integrity:  We are open, honest and ethical at all times

  • Ownership: We take great pride in our work; taking responsibility for delivering quality, being prompt, highlighting any problems or issues to colleagues and always being a proactive team member.
